our new family car!

I'm so proud of my husband, he searched and searched for a car that was a good deal, but also fit our family style. We love it and can't wait to store some strollers and stuff in the back! xxoo

chelsea lately

Chels and I met in Paris about 7 years ago. We have remained close friends ever since. I plan on going through my scrapbook from that year and scanning in the photos of our younger selves, running around in buddah bar, playing on the grass out side our university, floating on the seine while sipping wine and falling asleep head to toe in eachothers beds. I don't see her nearly as often as I would like even though we both work in sf. Today however we met for lunch @ sellers market and it was beyond wonderful. It felt like no time had passed and I of course got emotional thinking about how lucky I am to have a person like her in my life.

mexico bummer

we have had tickets to PV mexico for months now, along with a week in an all-inclusive resort. I'm honestly so annoyed that we may have to change them to a later date as we've been counting down the days until we go! But after a chat last night we decided maybe Hawaii is a better choice and if I can get a discounted stay the the ritz in maui, that's where we'll be headed come memorial day (and my 30th!) xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

stayed up way past my bedtime last night @ the game, but it was worth it. Great seats, at an amazing price (free) and YUMMY food! No joke, I ate one of everything. The hot chocolate was the best! We ran into a few friends and was on BART by the 8th inning...LATE for little old almost 30, lime in the oven, me :)

Barry ( your #2 man) was at the game and he sat behind us in the booth- tried to get a photo hun, but all we got was the top of his head!!! Please don't cry!!!

weekend getaway

i made m slow down so I could take a photo of a branch. reminded me of a movie I saw once called "watcher in the woods" ooollldddd disney classic.
we passed this scene and I had m turn around and park on the side of the road. something about the fog, coming off the water looked mysteriously beautiful to me.
by the time we got back in the car 2 more people had stopped to take photos.

2 full nights in montara tonight. I can't even wait I'm so excited.
Indie is going to k-9 camp and m and I will be eating mexican, playing scrabble, watching season one of 24 and gangland and maybe going to some garage sales on saturday!

vent

start of vent:I had a serious migraine late last night, that lasted all night up until this morning. I was NOT feeling my alarm or the thought of looking at a computer all day. I honestly feel awful and tired and wish I were home sleeping. end of vent :)

Visiting with Sarah gave me so much energy and it was such a blast. She's just a blessing in my life right now. And Indie loves her too.

YAY!

My Sarah is coming to town for a work meeting tonight and I get to see her if only for a few minutes! A friend who loves veggie burgers as much as I do, and loves my puppy as much as I do. Such a treat and a welcome surprise. I miss my girlfriends, especially Sarah. Can't wait!!!

What an amazing day we had. It started off with one of the most incredible sermons I have ever heard. Church blew my mind- both emotionally and spiritually. I laughed, cried and walked out of there thinking about what I had heard and looking forward to next week already. (not to mention we're staying the weekend at my moms while she's out of town!) We then headed over to Brooke's and got to visit with her whole family, hug Jessica and see Vincent walk! Brooke gave me some of her bigger clothes to wear- so awesome. Afterwards we drove out to my mom's house for lunch and a quick chat. By that time we had to get back to Hayward, take a nap and get ready for dinner! I was exhausted. We met down at mom and dad meldrums for twice baked potatoes, asparagus, fresh homemade rolls, spinach and strawberry salad, ham and strawberry cheesecake!! We played scattegories, let Indie run around and of course took photos. Indie LOVED it there. She literally flew through the air to jump on the couches and pounced on uncle dan over and over. We got her a little easter basket earlier, filled with musical cows, stuffed buffalos, pig ears and chew sticks. However, she likes going to grandmas cause she gets bacon, ham and whipped cream!!

it was a long day.

I was NOT myself today. Tired, belly achey, and I must admit...a tad bit cranky. Made some mashed potatoes and had a blueberry muffin. Drank some OJ and organic blackberries...but nothing quite satisfied me. Still we spent the day getting things done and afterwards I rewarded myself with a mani/pedi. 

We're trying to get our bedroom finished and organized and made huge progress today. Tomorrow I plan on sleeping in and then we're heading over to HMB for the 10:30am Easter service. Dinner is at mom and dad meldrums. I can already taste the twice baked potatoes.

ugh, it was not the most uplifting experience. We tried out a maternity store first and ew- just ew. We then went to Macy's and my mom purchased a bigger suit for me as I have to wear one everyday and my others still fit- but I don't think they will for long. I had so much fun however, just hanging with my mom. I started to get exhausted at around 8pm but we found a few other things and she took me back to Castro Valley. M had some yummy snacks waiting for me when I walked in and I literally ate and passed out, dead to the world. I couldn't remember falling asleep when I woke up this morning! Thank goodness it's Friday and I think we get to go home an hour or 2 early. On a brighter note, I had lunch with Brooke yesterday and get to have lunch with Megan today! xxoo
Oh and my co-worker just walked in with bagels! Yahooooooooo

wednesday's with mom meldrum

From here on out, wednesday nights will be spent down the street eating yummy food and getting a night off of cooking and cleaning the kitchen :)
Sad I know, but the thought of cooking a meal lately is like dragging mud through mud as my mom poetically explained it. I'm tired today- so tired that I keep thinking maybe if I put my head down on my desk they'll tell me to just go get a room for an hour. Maybe? Possibly? Probably not.
Last night we had an amazing meal with mom meldrum and lita. She made taco salad, complete with vegetarian chili beans, avocado, ripe tomatoes, grated chedder, hot salsa and salted chips. We also had homemade tortilla soup, which I got to bring today for lunch as well.
Tonight I am taking BART to Daly City to meet my mom. We're going to look at maternity clothes, not that I need them yet but she wants to know my "style." Although I don't know what my style will be truthfully. Big I'm guessing. We're also going to check out a swim class. Tuesdays and Thursdays my mom swims and I need to motivation to get my butt of our couch, and stop watching CSI.
