dinner party!

We are having Sophie's friend Madilyn and our friends Ashley and Matt over for dinner tonight when the guys get off work. Matt works 7am-7pm now, so it'll be a late dinner. I'm so used to eating before 6pm these days (trying to get the weight off!!)

Ashley and I went grocery shopping yesterday with the girls...they slept through the whole thing. Ash and I ended up walking around the store a few times just to chat while they slept, haha. SHe then came over and brought me batteries for the swing and changed them out for me. She's awesome! That's usually Matt's job. It shows how much I depend on him!! Genna is coming over in a few to make me pretty and watch Soph while I get the house in order. She's holding her head up all by herself! She also has discovered how much she likes to suck on her fists. I have tons of photos of myself doing the same. I will have to scan them in. SHe also loves to push on us with her feet and legs. She's very strong.

Everything went so well. I didn't cry (well, maybe a tear was shed) and she promptly fell asleep right after. What a good girl!!! She is 23 inches and 11 lbs 6oz. She's currently still in her car seat asleep and I'm about to make lunch. I'm hoping the day continues like this and I may even get to clean up after the party.

looking forward to...

Genna doing my hair this weekend, a visit from my auntie Autumn, a trial gym membership at an all girls gym...so awesome, ALYZE's visit from NY next weekend!!! Dying!!! And Sarah and Kyle's co-ed baby shower next Sunday that Matt and I are throwing. It's gonna be festive and fun ;)

Ahhhh...having a daughter means I get to dress her up for all of these occasions! That's what they're for right?!

Matt and I just discovered the cure to a fussy baby. It's a DVD called "Happiest Baby on the Block" We bought it, but found out later you can get it on netflix. He's a total magician. Sophie hardly cries unless she's hungry or poopin'!! We are happy (well rested)parents and she's a very happy baby!
